January 2021. After our wonderful forgettable covid experience, Katie and I decided to get outta dodge and visit my family in Central Florida. I say Central Florida because it’s easier. We hung out in Orlando, stayed in Windermere and this photo blog is about Winter Garden, now that you understand and I don’t have to explain it anymore, we’ll just say to Central Florida.
During the trip, I decided to take our oldest on a daddy-daughter afternoon adventure to Old Town Winter Garden. Winter Garden will always hold a special place in my heart. it was home to some great summers, family memories, friendships, and finally my first “real” summer internship/job. Check this out, at this summer internship, they gave me an office in the back and asked me to “handle the inventory”. When I asked what “handle the inventory” meant, the VP said, and I quote “you can do this, you’ve gotta figure out to be a lion among the sheep” and closed the door to his office. I love insecure men in their 50’s. Many more stories to come in future blogs.
Back to Central Florida, Madison and I experienced the little boutiques, book stores, and the kind gentleman selling us an ice cream cone for $6.95. We found a nice little touristy French place so I could enjoy an espresso while Madison enjoyed a wonderful chocolate chip cookie...hey dad, are you done with your drink yet? I want to get ice cream.
Oh yeah, my father still drives a 1997 Ford Mustang GT Convertible.
Vaya Con Dios
