Portland Baby!

Blast back to the past…October or November 2021 (not sure-it's Christmas Season). A family member notified me about his son playing collegiate soccer in the beautiful city of Portland. We called our father and decided to turn the event into a father-son-son weekend. Unfortunately some things came up and it turned into a father-son weekend.

My father and I pressed on for the great weekend! You see my father and I used to take 8 hour car trips along the eastern seaboard taking part in my cousin's Busch Grand National Nascar Team (yep you read that correctly and don't worry a future blog is coming). These former road trips were filled with numerous, pointless, and (gosh I want to punch myself in the face if you don't stop talking kid) questions the entire time. My father never faltered answered every question and was very thankful to be in car. At one point I assume he was praying I would fall asleep to give himself some peace and quiet. Anyways, I was looking forward to reconnecting with this gem (he's holding the #9 pit sign).

If you ever get the chance to visit Portland, avoid it, it's extremely weird. If you ever get the chance to visit the outskirts of Portland (the Pacific Coast) take every opportunity to indulge and enjoy it!
