The Long Beach Aquarium

Captains Log, Friday Field Trip # 5 (# 34 of 2019-Pre Covid 19).

To understand what we’re trying to accomplish here, please refer back to this blog.

The Long Beach Aquarium, no, we’re not going to talk about hitting the East Side on the LBC or the fact I sang “Regulators” in the talent show during my High School. The Long Beach Aquarium is in the heart of Long Beach. Long Beach is a great city, it’s kind of like the cousin you see every family holiday, you enjoy the cousin, they don’t brag about their job, show up with a different spouse/partner, bring horrible food, or discuss the blissful topic of politics…wait, are we talking about a city or Thanksgiving? Long Beach, they have their own Grand Prix, Waterfront, The Queen Mary, etc, it’s the greatest place you visit once a year (kind of like that cousin).

We departed early one Saturday morning with Ammy and Beep (grandparents of the kiddos), as they were financing the trip, I’m not too sure what the cost was. Grandparents are the best, do yourself a favor and give them a quick call or text and tell them how thankful you are for them (even if they get on your nerves). The day was filled with fish, sea otters, sharks, and a beautiful 2 year old smacking the glass of each display and wondering why the fish wouldn’t speak to her.

We spent a good 35 minutes at this display...
